+ COST CONTROLLER

Responsible for all cost control aspects of the company

Location:Trenton,ON

Qualifications

• Post-secondary, CPA or equivalent experience in accounting, cost control or finance or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, record and maintain all financial books (AP,AR, Reconciliations,…)
  • Interactions with clients to ensure timely collection of AR
  • Interactions with vendors to maintain positive relation and extended credits
  • Be the main point of contact for all financial matters
  • Prepare annual documents for accountants’ review
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts
  • Administrate payroll and HR
  • Lead and pursue cost saving scenario and increased revenue and profit
  • Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.

+ CONSTRUCTION COORDINATOR

Description: Responsible to coordinate all aspects of project execution.

Location: Trenton, ON

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary, CET or equivalent experience in structural engineering or similar preferred. Previous steel detailing and estimating experience an asset.

Duties:

  • Interaction with clients by phone and email Be main point of contact for projects
  • Organize procurement of material for shop or site use
  • Organize procurement of equipment for site/ shop for the required timelines/ durations, as well as demobilization as early as not required.
  • Ensure all procurement activities meet required timelines
  • Site visits to assess site conditions and for planning
  • Coordinate, liaise, review and ensure timely delivery of project drawings (between detailing, engineer, client and shop/site)
  • Provide necessary bills of drawings and materials as required for shop and field sequencing: purchasing, cutting, fitting, welding, shipping
  • Coordinate and monitor approval processes with clients for contracts, terms, change orders, specs and drawings.
  • Identify changes to contracts (through drawing reviews/ new documents issued/ client requests, site/ shop discrepancies with tender documents)
  • Send in RFI's, track and ensure they are addressed and closed as per the quality procedure
  • Liaise with the engineering team for stamping, checks and approvals.
  • Monitor all drawing submissions to the shop and to clients. Monitor and expedite all aspects of the approval process (Document Control)

+ SENIOR DETAILER

Senior detailer is responsible for development of a Detailing Department for TAZARMC's Structural Steel Fabrication division. Responsible to coordinate the development of all required shop and erection drawings from engineered drawings using third party Detailing Contractors or in-house detailers.

The prospect candidate must have the skills to design standard/ custom connections optimal for fabrication, transportation and erection. The detailer must have experience with designing pre-assembled sections to best capture opportunities to save time in fabrication/ erection.

Qualifications

  • Must have at 5 years plus experience as a steel detailer
  • Post-secondary, CET or equivalent experience in structural engineering or similar; Certificate through National Institute of Steel Detailing (NISD) an asset (level 3)

Duties

  • Define the scope of the project with the estimating team
  • Steel detailing using Tekla™ and Advance Steel™
  • Create in house shop drawings/details for fabrication
  • Liaise production, perform checks and ensure accuracy of shop drawings from 3rd parties if required
  • Send in RFI's, track and ensure they are closed as per the quality procedure
  • Coordinate and monitor approval process.
  • Carry out any checks required for developed shop drawings (in house/ 3rd party)
  • Liaise with the engineering team for stamping, checks and approvals.
  • Monitor all drawing submissions to the shop and to clients. Monitor and expedite all aspects of the approval process (Document Control)
  • Prepare Steel details as per CISC Standards
  • Prepare structural models and layouts
  • Design connections to the structural joints as per the specs called for in the engineered drawings
  • Prepare assembly drawings and erection diagrams, bolt lists, and BOMs
  • Generation of electronic files for CNC equipment as per erection sequence

Skills

  • Solid understanding of and able to interpret architectural, structural drawings and contract specifications.
  • Must have connection design experience
  • Understanding of tolerances and the impacts of material processing techniques

+ SHOP SUPERVISOR

Supervisor will be responsible for the day to day operations of the structural steel fabrication facility equipped with "cutting edge" production equipment. The Supervisor will work with a team of Project Coordinators to ensure each project is executed on budget and on time. Supervisor will be an active participant working with management to continuously improve productivity including assessment of new equipment and facility additions.

Qualifications

  • Must have 10+ Years supervising a Structural Steel Fabrication shop
  • Ticketed Structural Fitter/ Welder Journeyman

Duties

  • Promote and ensure a safe-work culture and ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Ensure production scheudle is met
  • Provide leadership and direction to shop tradesman and helpers
  • Oversee all production related activities
  • Conduct daily safety meetings
  • Implement safety and quality programs in the shop
  • Responsible for production and shop productivity
